Little Souls Dolls
Each Little Souls doll is one of a kind, and is inspired by materials and found objects artist Gretchen Wilson collects as she travels the world. Vintage fabrics, buttons, ribbons and trim salvaged from fashion house pieces, as well as knickknacks and other high-end used treasures are incorporated into each doll's clothing and accessories. Each Little Souls is “green artistry.”
In many countries, a significant portion of the poor are women considered "culturally unemployable” because their cultures forbid them to work for wages or to sell goods and services. Through the years, Gretchen has employed culturally-unemployable women in the making of Little Souls dolls.
