The Back Story
More:
January 6th is Three Kings Day. It is a date celebrated throughout Latin America, Spain, and Latino communities in the U.S. This is the Epiphany of the church calendar, the 12th day after Christmas, when the Magi arrived bearing gifts for baby Jesus. Traditionally, children receive gifts on this day, brought by the three kings, Melchor, Gaspar and Baltazar. In Latin America, January 6th, and not necessarily Christmas, is the day children receive their gifts.
