The Back StoryMore: Damselflies are predacious insects, meaning they live by eating other insects. They are considered a good predator because they eat mosquitoes, flies, and ants. Damselflies are often a bit smaller than dragonflies, but their wings are held in a folded position, parallel to the body, when at rest. The damselfly doesn’t fly as fast as a dragonfly. Damselflies are usually found around wetlands, lakes, ponds, and streams.
