An ancient symbol, the Cross dates back to prehistoric times. Often
used as a fundamental element in artistic design, this symbol is most
often associated with Christianity. The typical cross usually consists
of two lines that form right angles, but there are other representations
(for example, the Ankh, Canterbury, Celtic, Maltese, Patriarchal,
Lorraine, and Potent crosses).
